I thought I'd write a quick update while we were still officially in double digits because tomorrow we go to single digits in the countdown. WOW!!! I remember when June seemed so far away and we had so much time. Wellll, June is HERE and time...welllll....
I want to share some thoughts that make me so excited to be part of Kids' Camp and part of Celebration and part of the big picture God has for us by telling you what I CAN'T WAIT FOR...
I can't wait for:
* Volunteers to get their t-shirts (they look really really cool!)!
* Lead the volunteer meeting tomorrow night when I get to share the fun things in store for next week!
* Go to McDonald's to hang with my church fam and see the community meet our Supers!
* See Matt from head to toe in OSU gear because you worked so hard and met our financial goal!
* Watch Kids' Camp set up unfold, watching our building and grounds transform!
* Seeing a sea of BLUE shirts of the nearly 140 volunteers on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday!
* Watching our people come together for one purpose: children!
* One of my favorites: seeing God's faithfulness in providing what we need!
These are just to name a few! :)
This time of year is really a love/hate relationship for me. ;) I'm not a fan of the stress and pressure to meet deadlines and the worries of it all coming together, but what outweighs that by a million percent is the part I love...I love to see our church come together for such a huge project that is months in the making, countless hours planning, time and money spent...and for what? For children to learn more about God, for children to be exposed to God (maybe even for the first time), and forthe growth and new friendships we experience as a family! Thanks, Celebration, for being fans of Kids' Camp!
