Yesterday in the car my daughter says, "I can't believe Kids' Camp is only two months away!! It goes by so fast!!" With a plastered smile on my face and a smile in my tone I said, "Oh I know, I just can't wait!" But if I was honest with you, I'd tell you also that inside I was screaming for her to stop talking!!! :) "only two months..." she says....Whew! Normally that may stress me out, but yesterday it only stressed me for a few minutes, and I want to share with you why the stress only lasted a few minutes.
* A dozen teams are currently planning/preparing for Kids' Camp!
* Craft Team already has their ideas and are beginning to collect supplies and prepare crafts!
* Snack Team already has their snack ideas picked and are already preparing!
* Advertising Team already has many ideas to spread the word and has those in the works!
* Security Team has already met once and began brainstorming ways to improve for the safety and security of our kiddos!
* Games Team has already started researching for SUPER fun activities that will be new and exciting for kids!
* Drama Team had their first practice yesterday evening and we had lots of laughs!
* Preschool Team is already preparing for Celebration little ones to have a super fun time!
* Small Group Leaders/Assistants are already being recruited!
* Video/Sound Team are already working on the tech side of Large Group and will wow us with super cool stuff!
See what I mean? No need to be stressed! Just a need to be waaaaay excited and pumped up for Kids' Camp!!! God is good and He is planning some SUPER SUPER cool things this year! I'd share more, but some things just HAVE to be kept secret...
Then to top it off we found out on Sunday that WHEN we reach our goal of $4,000 Matt will dress up like Buckeye Guy on the first day of Kids' Camp to welcome all the kids and parents AND he'll proudly wear an OSU jersey Sunday morning of Kids' Camp Finale! This is just how much he loves our kids and kids in our community that he'll humble himself for OSU gear for two days. :)
